Model Entries – Previous Terms

Below you can find model blog entries from previous terms.  These may be useful to you as you think about how to effectively approach the topic selection and blog assignments.  Not all of these are direct examples of the topic selection assignment, but should still give you insight into how to approach it.

While we haven’t covered some of the content listed below you can get a sense of how topics were chosen that allowed us to go deeper into our “practice of looking” at pop culture. For your assignment you’ll want to suggest a topic, give us brief background and then hint at (or more directly discuss) the ways in which an exploration of this topic might help us better understand our subject matter, pop culture. In other words – Why is it important to study this? What do we have to gain?
